Goals

LIVING FOR JESUS:

Our goal is to challenge students to demonstrate a commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. Providing meaningful devotions each school day.
  2. Celebrating days that acknowledge significant events in Christian history.
  3. Encouraging a school atmosphere that is characterized by Christian love, joy, and acceptance.
  4. Counseling students about their walk with the Lord.
  5. Encouraging students to demonstrate their love for God by participating in worship times as well as in all their activities throughout each day.
  6. Calling students to live lives of obedience to God at school and in the local community.

LEARNING FOR LIFE:

Our goal is to teach students the various school subjects, skills and disciplines from a Christian perspective.

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. Providing a Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight curriculum that encourages a commitment to God, opens up creation and culture to our students, develops literacy, guides students to maturity, and encourages joy in learning.
  2. Providing qualified Christian educators who articulate and model a Christian perspective in their teaching and interaction with students.
  3. Providing a variety of professional resource materials for the staff and students;
  4. Providing a school facility with adequate space and physical resources to accomplish these goals.
  5. Ensuring a level of achievement that meets or exceeds the Ontario Ministry of Education requirements.

Our goal is to enhance students’ understanding of themselves as image-bearers of God.

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. Emphasizing the marvelous way each person has been created.
  2. Encouraging students to realize and develop their gifts and abilities.
  3. Balancing the individual and communal aspects of this Biblical principle.

SERVING WITH GLADNESS:

Our goal is to enable the students to be Christian witnesses within the school community and the local community.

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. Nurturing effective work habits.
  2. Developing the students’ sense of responsibility for God’s creation.
  3. Encouraging positive relationships between students and all others in the community.
  4. Encouraging the development of leadership skills through different activities and programs.

Our goal is to develop a Christian witness within the broader community in areas related to education.

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. Ensuring our local community is aware of our existence.
  2. Promoting our Christian programs to Christian families in our area.
  3. Broadening the number of society members and supporters.
  4. Participating in communal discussions regarding education within our community, so that a Christian voice is not silent, but heard, in appropriate forums.

Our goal is to develop active participation by members of the Niagara Association for Christian Education.

We will accomplish this goal by:
  1. romoting a positive relationship with the parents and members of NACE.
  2. Encouraging participation in a variety of activities and committees to ensure parental input.
  3. Initiating discussions on the nature and practice of Christian education within our Association.
