Description of the Niagara Association for Christian Education (NACE):

NACE is a group of Christian families from many different churches who share a vision for how they can best educate their children. Central to this vision is the idea that our Christian principles are to influence every area of our lives, and that includes the area of education. Having our schools work closely with our families, we believe we can nurture our students in a way that provides consistency and stability for each child.

History of NACE:

In 1999 two school associations joined together to form NACE. John Knox Christian School in Stoney Creek has been in operation since 1961 and has been active in the community throughout its history. Covenant Christian School was established in 1988 and is highly regarded in the West Lincoln community. Our graduates have gone successfully into every area of society, and all over the world, and have been very well prepared to continue their formal education and personal development.

Fast Facts:

  1. NACE operates two school, Covenant Christian in Smithville and John Knox Christian in Stoney Creek.
  2. NACE schools serve approximately 300 students and 160 families.
  3. NACE schools meet and exceed all Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations.
  4. NACE teachers hold well-respected teaching credentials.
  5. NACE works to develop students in a whole range of areas: academically, socially, athletically and in the arts.
  6. NACE graduates are successful in whatever high school program they pursue, whether that is at a Christian, a Public, or a Catholic High School.
  7. Families are forced to pay fees to send their children to NACE schools, because the provincial government does not allow them to benefit from the tax dollars they pay towards education (yet!).
  8. NACE is a member of the Foundation for Niagara Christian Schools (FNCS) , the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS), Christian Schools Canada (CSC) , and Christian Schools International (CSI)
