Covenant Christian School Band Achieves First Standard at Kiwanis Festival!

Background:
The grade eight band from Covenant Christian School in Smithville achieved a First Place Standard at the Kiwanis Festival held in St. Catharines recently. The students played two pieces very different from each other: “The Heavens Are Telling” and “Pep Rally Rock”, and the adjudicator commended them on their ability to play that range of pieces. He singled out the Percussion and Bass sections as adding solidity and intricacy to the pieces, as well as noting the clarity of the brass.
