“Good Neighbour” Activities in Smithville.
Background:
The students at Covenant Christian School participated in a variety of activities this past Tuesday (May 30), arranged to allow students to practice their “good neighbour” skills. Grades 2, 3 and 5 students brought their works of art and performed songs for the senior residents of Legion Villa. Grade 4 and 1 students prepared posters for the town library’s “Summer Reading Program”, and other students gave free car washes and coffee to passersby. The school’s Mission Statement is to “Live for Jesus, Learn for Life and Serve With Gladness”, so these activities were to let the Community know that CCS (Covenant Christian School) stands for Covenant Cares for Smithville!
